This past month has been super busy; we’ve traveled, moved, unpacked, the list goes on…
Currently, there are 4 boxes left to be unpacked, so I am a very happy mommy.
Our trip to visit the family went well, we were able to see a lot of people I haven’t seen in forever, so it was really great. Unfortunately, my baby got her very first illness, so we spent the first few days trying to calm a sick baby, but it wasn’t too bad; she was such a good patient, most people didn’t realize she was sick.
While we were away, my WONDERFUL husband decided to hire movers and get us into the new apartment. It was really terrific being able to come back and not have to have the stress of moving piled on top of the stress of getting the baby back on schedule.
Since we’ve been here, our daughter has slept 10-12 hours at night. PLUS she takes two naps (1-2 hours long apiece). It’s so wonderful to get 8 hours of sleep again. I swear it is because she has her own room. While I miss snuggly nights, it is nice to know I won’t crush her in my sleep (haha–I kid, I kid)
Five more teeth are coming in. Her top four and one on the bottom right. It’s making nursing a bit more difficult, but we are struggling through. Poor thing has no idea her teeth are sinking into my sensitive areas, I was using a nipple shield (which she doesn’t particularly like) and then I got the bright idea to maybe change the hold I was using. Changing to the football hold (as awkward as it is with a 9 1/2 month old) has helped, so I’m crossing my fingers that will be the end of that.
Only 15 more lbs until I’ve shed all of the baby weight! Then another 20 until I’ve gotten to pre-wedding. I would love to lose another 10 on top of that, but one step at a time, right?
