Happy NO YEAR!

I spent my New Year’s Eve with a good friend, eating fondue, hors d’oeuvres and watching The Big Bang Theory on DVD until 11:30, when we switched to some sort of Dick’n Rock’n Dickie Eve.

Maybe it wasn’t your idea of a par-tay, but I had a good time.

I also don’t make resolutions. . . . → Read More: Happy NO YEAR!

Snotty McSnotty Pants

There is a snot epidemic at my house.

It is massive.

But it is only coming from the two year old.

I fear what will happen if/when the four year old catches it.

Or worse, what if I catch it?

I suppose on the upside, the two year old doesn’t even realize she is . . . → Read More: Snotty McSnotty Pants

My Week (5) in Droid Photos

Sunday:

We made cookies. LOTS of cookies.

My children are also weird. (Note: No one was harmed in the incorrect wearing of the Spiderman mask)

Monday:

We went to Target in the rain for a couple of last minute gifts.

We spent . . . → Read More: My Week (5) in Droid Photos

Laying Low

Yep, that’s what we’re doing.

Last night, after FINALLY falling asleep around 10 (this rain leaves us with lots of pent up energy, apparently), Olivia woke up 45 minutes later coughing so hard she started gagging. It scared me so bad I picked her up and brought her to the bathroom just in case . . . → Read More: Laying Low

My Week (3) in Droid Photos

So I shook things up a little bit and used some storyboards. Gonna see how I like them.

Sunday:

We decided to attempt to take the girls Back to the Future on late Sunday afternoon since it was kind of yucky out. We went ahead and ponied up for the new 25th Anniversary Edition. . . . → Read More: My Week (3) in Droid Photos

Chicken vs. Chicken Nugget

“I don’t like chicken, but I like chicken nuggets.” Sophia explained tonight at dinner as she ate the chicken cutlets I had made bite sized and renamed “nuggets”.

“So, you’re eating chicken NUGGETS and those are good?” I asked.

“Yes, mama, these are very tasty.” she said as she dipped it in ketchup.

“But . . . → Read More: Chicken vs. Chicken Nugget

The Theory Holds…and other things

The unfortunate side effect of the holiday season is my need to shop more than usual. And now that I have a car, I want to get it done during the week, because trying to shop on the weekends from Black Friday until after New Year’s is just ASKING for a psychological meltdown.

The Shopping Cart Theory

I know, obvious cat is obvious, but it really is much more difficult to get things done when I have both girls versus just one. On their own, each child is delightful and will allow me to get my errands done in a short period of time, but combined, they are the perfect storm . . . → Read More: The Shopping Cart Theory

Cartrip, Carsick

We just got back from spending the day with Bill’s maternal grandparents and his mom. They live roughly 150 miles away from us, and the trip usually takes about two to two and a half hours one way.

Unfortunately, today was rainy and people seem to drive like jackasses when it rains, so we . . . → Read More: Cartrip, Carsick

I wish I could think of a proper title for this post. But I can’t, so this is what you get.

Last week, Olivia was being exceptionally patient while I dealt with her sister. I can’t for the life of me remember the circumstances, but we were getting ready to leave the house and I looked at her and said “I just wanted to thank you for being so patient while I was helping Sophia.”
