A place which must not be named…

Yesterday we were given a very awesome, VIP tour of a major animation studio that happens to be housed in our city. One of the moms on our parent committee used to work there and her husband still does, so she arranged for the committee members (and our kids) to go on a tour. . . . → Read More: A place which must not be named…

This is the post where I take the time to brag

I sometimes feel I use this space a little too much for the complaining. It’s a good space for me to do that, it is a way to vent when the kids are screaming, non-eating, little defiant children. BUT they are also these amazing, wonderful little humans and I am proud to be their . . . → Read More: This is the post where I take the time to brag

My Week (6) in Droid Photos

I went a little crazy organizing and labeling with my new pTouch label maker. Seriously. I’m in love.

Monday:

It didn’t last.

My Week (5) in Droid Photos

Sunday:

We made cookies. LOTS of cookies.

My children are also weird. (Note: No one was harmed in the incorrect wearing of the Spiderman mask)

We went to Target in the rain for a couple of last minute gifts.

Laying Low

Yep, that’s what we’re doing.

Last night, after FINALLY falling asleep around 10 (this rain leaves us with lots of pent up energy, apparently), Olivia woke up 45 minutes later coughing so hard she started gagging. It scared me so bad I picked her up and brought her to the bathroom just in case . . . → Read More: Laying Low

Rainy Day Errands

My Week (3) in Droid Photos

So I shook things up a little bit and used some storyboards. Gonna see how I like them.

Sunday:

We decided to attempt to take the girls Back to the Future on late Sunday afternoon since it was kind of yucky out. We went ahead and ponied up for the new 25th Anniversary Edition. . . . → Read More: My Week (3) in Droid Photos

Already??

Today when I dropped Olivia off at preschool she was wearing a sweatshirt, her pink Marty McFly vest, and a pair of jeans.

When I picked her up this afternoon, she was wearing a sweatshirt, her pink Marty McFly vest, and a pair of over-sized khaki elastic-banded sweatpants.

Her teacher caught my eye and . . . → Read More: Already??

Our tree has fulfilled its Christmas Destiny

Three years ago I wrote of our Christmas Tree, and how we decided to upgrade our small fake one to a nicer, pre-lit fake one.

This past year, we donated that tree after Bill decided he wanted to try a real tree.

“Oh those things are so expensive and DANGEROUS!” some people told me.

The Theory Holds…and other things

The unfortunate side effect of the holiday season is my need to shop more than usual. And now that I have a car, I want to get it done during the week, because trying to shop on the weekends from Black Friday until after New Year’s is just ASKING for a psychological meltdown.
